Dr. Buzz Newman joined the staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital in 2008. He is a Connecticut native and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1977. Dr, Newman's primary interests are in surgery and feline medicine.
Dr. Erin Turowski joined the staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital in October 2015. She attended Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor of Science in biological engineering in 2006, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010. She then completed a training program in laboratory animal medicine at MIT.

Dr. Steve Logsdon joined the staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital in September 2011. Originally from California, Dr. Logsdon began his veterinary education at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology.
He completed the didactic portion of his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in St. Kitts, West Indies and his final clinical year at the University of Florida. He received his DVM in 2007 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Logsdon's professional interests include small animal medicine and orthopedic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, fishing, cooking, and woodworking. He lives in Beverly, MA with his wife and sons and hopes to adopt a dog in the near future.
Dr. Newman has over 30 plus years of experience in practicing general medicine, and possesses extensive surgical and critical care emergency skills. For much of his career he has successfully owned and operated an emergency small animal hospital and most recently a feline only hospital. He lives in Medford, MA with his wife and three cats Winston, Maxwell and Izzy.
Dr. Turowski subsequently entered private practice after realizing that she missed the joys of puppy and kitten visits and helping people and their pets. Her medical interests include internal medicine, microbiology, and small mammal medicine. She lives in Woburn with her yellow lab mix, Brutus, and her cat, Julius. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, knitting, and cross stitching.
Dr. Douglas DePiero is a native of Beverly, Massachusetts. He began his career as an engineer for NASA, and then in the disk processing industry in Silicon Valley. But his love for animals eventually won out - as he later received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 1999.
Dr. DePiero and his wife, Tina, combined their medical, technical, and entrepreneurial expertise, to open the doors of Northeast Veterinary Hospital in September 2001. Dr. DePiero also holds a BS and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. He lives with his wife, two daughters, and son, in Swampscott along with their dog, cat, and bunny.
